Fair Trade Women's Initiatives
Ms. Geneva personally trained a Fair Trade Women's cooperative in Nicaragua with sewing skills that helped them expand their customer base. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping communities and indigenous populations in developing countries. Currently focusing in Nicaragua, she has worked in the past with communities in Pakistan and India.
She is currently in the planning stages with the support of the Whole Planet Foundation
on a project in Nicaragua to help educate and fairly employ women. This project is scheduled to break ground in late 2009.
That said, most of our manufacturing is with in the USA by women owned facilities. Keeping it with in our own part of the world helps employ our neighbors and cut down on carbon emissions. Women just rock, and we are proud to support them.
